Details:General NotesThe Office of Finance at the Dell Medical
School is seeking a Financial Planning and Analysis Manager. This
is a full-time position; remote work is expected with limited
possibility of hybrid workPurposeThe UT Health System & Dell
Medical School Financial Planning and Analysis Manager will advance
financial and operational improvement throughout the organization
by serving as a project manager, facilitator, consultant, coach and
mentor. This role will enhance financial resiliency by facilitating
problem assessment, data compilation/analysis, team development,
metrics design, and improvement implementation efforts. This
position will report directly to the Senior Director of the Finance
Office and interacts frequently with the CFO, COO, clinical
leadership, and departmental leadership.Responsibilities
- Work collaboratively to identify financial and operational
improvement opportunities.
- Develop project aims, methods, and measurement strategy.
- Develop and monitor project plans, including deliverables,
milestones, tasks, and timelines.
- Plan, coordinate, facilitate, and document meetings and
improvement activities.
- Communicate and present to project stakeholders, team members,
and leadership regarding project status.
- Create project documents and material, including but not
limited to: Charter, A3, training materials, implementation guides,
progress reports, presentations.
- Identify data needs and perform analysis to support and monitor
project deliverables and ongoing measurements.
- Perform other related duties as
assigned.Knowledge/Skills/Abilities
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a high
degree of professionalism in dealing with staff at all levels of
the institution.
- Strong knowledge of financial applications and processes.
- Effective problem-solving skills.
- Ability to develop, prioritize, and accomplish goals.
- Demonstrated analytical thinking, critical thinking, and
project management competencies.
- Ability to analyze and evaluate data and make appropriate
decisions/ recommendations.Required QualificationsBachelor's degree
in Finance, Accounting, or a related field. Minimum of 3 years of
experience in healthcare. Certification in Lean, Lean Six Sigma, or
other certified process improvement methodology. Experience in
performance improvement, workflow optimization, and project
management. Experience in communicating and presenting processes to
varied audiences. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel. Proficiency in
workflow mapping tools such as Visio.Relevant education and
experience may be substituted as appropriate.Preferred
QualificationsMaster's degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, or
a related field. Minimum of 5 years of experience in healthcare,
with increasing responsibility. Proficiency in Power BI. Experience
working in a financial role at an Academic Health
institution.Salary Range$109,000 - $165,000 depending on
qualificationsWorking Conditions
