Mechanical Senior Principal EngineerJoin us as a Mechanical Senior Principal Engineer on our Custom Design and Emerging Technology team in Austin, Texas to do the best work of your career. - The Custom Design and Emerging Technology team is focused on delivering next generation technologies through innovative solutions. - If you have a passion for solving customer problems from the IT hardware to the data center this is the right team for you.What you'll achieveAs a Mechanical Senior Principal Engineer, you will be responsible for developing next generation data center infrastructure solutions at the server, rack, and data center level. - You will work closely with DELL engineering architects, CTO, sales teams, and customers to develop innovative data center solutions. -You will:

• Manage multiple programs at once, some at the customer solution level, others supporting new technology initiatives.
• Develop system solutions from Compute to Customer Data Center
• Demonstrate engineering rigor and leadership across various disciplines, mechanical, power, and thermals.
• Work with internal cross-functional teams, ODMs, and suppliers
• Design, develop, and implement cost effective methods of testing and troubleshooting systems.

  • 12+ years of experience with a bachelor's degree; or 8+ years with a master's degree
  • Experience solving complex thermal / mechanical problems from the IT hardware level to the data center level.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills presenting to leadership and customers, eEfficient in the use of CAD and various simulation software
  • Deep knowledge of hardware and software interactions, and ability to apply this understanding to resolve issues quickly and effectively.
  • Deep knowledge of Rack form factors, specifications, and industry standardsCompensationDell is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices.
