Sunbelt Staffing is seeking a travel Cath Lab Technologist for a travel job in San Marcos, Texas.

Feature: Cardiac Cath Lab Tech: CVT, RCIS, or ARRT with Cath Lab experience
Scope: Focus on invasive procedures in the cath lab
Primary Role: Assisting the Cardiologist, Electrophysiologist, Vascular Surgeon, and/or Radiologist in performing cardiac diagnostic, cardiac interventional, and invasive radiology procedures
Training: CVT with invasive specialization or ARRT with cath lab training, RCIS
Work Environment: Cardiac Catheterization Lab
Summary: This position involves professional patient care and assisting medical professionals in performing cardiac diagnostic, cardiac interventional, and invasive radiology procedures. The role includes preparing the cath lab, ensuring patient comfort, assisting physicians during procedures, maintaining equipment, and adhering to safety protocols.
Responsibilities:
Prepare the cardiac cath lab and compile patient information.
Ensure patient comfort and explain procedures.
Assist physicians by setting up supplies and maintaining a sterile field.
Operate electronic monitoring and angiographic equipment.
Schedule patients and ensure necessary supplies are available.
Maintain physiologic and hemodynamic equipment.
Function as a scrub technician for various cardiac and peripheral procedures.
Demonstrate competence in emergency procedures and adapt care methods to patient needs.
Call and call back required with a 30-minute response time.
May be required to work overtime.
Requirements:
Education: High school graduate or equivalent; degree in Radiological Sciences, Allied Health Science, or Cardiovascular Technologist program.
Experience: 2-4 years as a Radiology or Cardiovascular Technologist; 1-3 years with Cardiac Catheterization procedures.
Licenses/Certifications: MRT through TMB and ARRT, or RCIS/RCES; BLS; ACLS (for adult patients); PALS and ACLS within 90 days (for pediatric patients).
