Client System Performance ArchitectResponsible for applied
research or advanced engineering in the development of new
products, materials, or processes. Responsibilities include the
assimilation and understanding of the industry and competitive
environment for a given technology or product line, and the
derivation of a technology/product strategy from this information.
Leads technology investigations, performs a strategic analysis of
the industry capabilities, and develops recommendations, which
influence the technical product strategy and/or definition of
products for a given product line, including evaluation of
potential acquisitions and vendor partner opportunities. Engages
design teams, systems engineering, marketing teams, suppliers, and
business unit leaders and executives to ensure the strategy or
product architecture meets Dell's requirement of product leadership
for the given technology area or product line.Join us to do the

in Austin, Texas.What you'll achieveAs a Performance Architects at
Dell, you will be responsible for driving and defining the
performance optimization and benchmarking strategies of mobile
products. - You will work closely with architects from system,
thermal, BIOS, EC, and software teams to focus on maximizing the
capabilities of cutting-edge processors and to drive system-level
decisions ensuring our mobile devices deliver the best possible
performance, power efficiency, and user experience. - -You will
also represent the System Performance Architecture team at
cross-functional reviews.You Will:
- Establish system performance requirements, optimize the product
to meet those requirements, and validate that the product meets
those requirements throughout product development
- Work with internal and external development teams to develop,
drive, and deliver innovative robust solutions for PC's
- Using cutting-edge performance metric tools, software
optimization techniques, and benchmarking processes
- Communicate effectively with diverse audiences, including
technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Project future performance trends and develop strategies to

role:Essential Requirements
- ---Extensive knowledge of system and x86 processor
architecture
- Strong understanding of balancing power, thermals, and
acoustics to optimize system performance and the user
experience
- Proven track record of evaluating the performance impact of new
hardware, firmware, and/or software features and providing guidance
on trade-offs
- Experience working with major silicon vendors and leveraging
their latest technologies
- Work independently and thrive in a collaborative,
multi-functional team environmentDesirable Requirements
- BS -in Computer Engineering or similar field with 7-10+ years
of experience. Graduate degree is a plus
- Experience with defining and implementing policies into ML
algorithms for dynamic system performance
optimizationCompensationDell is committed to fair and equitable
compensation practices. The salary range for this position is
