The Department of Neurosurgery, Joe R. Teresa Lozano Long School
of Medicine (LSOM), at UT Health San Antonio is part of a
nationally recognized medical center dedicated to promoting
education, advancing research, and delivering compassionate patient
care of the highest quality. We are searching for like-minded
advanced practice providers (APP) to join our faculty team and help
us pursue our mission.Our Neurosurgery clinic is expanding its team
to provide outstanding coverage on weekdays. Our current team is
composed of Neurosurgeons, advanced practice providers, and a
varied group of residents, fellows, and allied health
professionals. Our ideal candidate will provide clinical services
at the MARC, MSRH, or UHS clinics.The successful candidates will
have unique opportunities to work with autonomy and contribute to a
team of prominent neuroscience professionals who are highly
regarded within their respective specialties. Specifically, the
incumbents will perform and provide diagnostic and therapeutic
evidence-based practice in inpatient and outpatient settings at
some of the best hospitals in the nation's 7th largest city.The job

maintenance of complete and accurate health records, team-player

Licenses and CertificationsState licensure as an Advanced Practice
Registered Nurse (APRN) and national certification to practice as a
nurse practitioner from an agency approved by the Texas Board of
Nursing is required.ORA Bachelor's degree in a recognized field of
science and completion of an accredited Physician Assistant Program
is required.Preferred qualifications:Advanced Practice Provider
experience working in a Neurosurgery clinic dealing with pre-op and
post-op cases in inpatient and outpatient settings.UT Health San

retirement plan providers.Time Off: A generous leave program offers
multiple paid leave options:Front-loaded Paid Time Off: 128 to 208
hours (16 to 26 days) of Paid Time Off based on years of service,
given at the start of each fiscal year. PTO may be prorated in year
one based on date of hire.Extended Illness Bank: 8 hours (1 day)
accrued per month which can be used for illness or injury after one
day of Paid Time Off is taken.Paid Family Leave: Up to 240 hours (6
weeks) to care for a spouse, child, or parent after 6 months of
consecutive employment.Holidays: 12 set paid holidays each fiscal
year.FSAs: Employees can enroll in flexible spending accounts
(FSAs) to set aside money from earnings before taxes for qualifying
dependent day care expenses or out-of-pocket health care
